Best Season to Visit

Monsoon/Rainy: /Rainy: July to September. It rains often during these months, which can make roads slippery and sometimes close them. The valley looks very fresh and vibrant after rain, but travel can be tricky.
Autumn: September to November. The weather is cool and dry. Trees turn yellow, orange, and red, creating beautiful colors across the valley. It is a good time for quiet visits before theWinter: snows start.
Winter: December to February. It gets very cold with heavy snowfall. Roads often close for weeks due to snow. This season is only for those who want to see deep snow and quiet, but only when roads are open for travel.
How to Reach
- By Air: The nearest active airport is Islamabad International Airport (ISB). It is about 150-180 km from Leepa Valley. From the airport, you will need to take a taxi or bus to Muzaffarabad and then onward.
- By Road: Leepa Valley can be reached by road from Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir. The main route is via Reshian. The road is often narrow and winding, and can be blocked by snow in winter. It takes several hours from Muzaffarabad.
- By Train: The nearest active railway station is Rawalpindi Railway Station. It is about 160-190 km from Leepa Valley. From Rawalpindi, you must travel by road through Muzaffarabad to reach the valley.
- By Public Transport: Local vans and shared jeeps run from Muzaffarabad to Reshian. From Reshian, you can find local transport, usually other jeeps, to go deeper into Leepa Valley. These services are less frequent and depend on road conditions.
